As part of this year’s Volunteer Challenge, Klunk & Millan partnered with The Salvation Army Children’s Services “Comfort Cottage” to develop a sustainable organization method for their donated clothing and goods intended for children in foster care.
Fundraising for the project began in February, including a successful Pie Sale that raised over $900 towards shelving units, bins, and coat racks. Klunk & Millan employees and their families then dedicated time at the cottage constructing shelving units and reorganizing donated clothing from cardboard boxes to clear, reusable plastic bins.
The Volunteer Challenge, the annual fundraiser benefitting the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, will be held May 15 from 5-7pm at ArtsQuest Center at Steelstacks.
